My husband had a bad tooth and I made an appointment with Dental Works. He had insurance and paid 43.00 before leaving. They have now turned his account over to a collection agency for $190.00. When I talked to the collection agency, they said I had to get in touch with Dental Works if I had a dispute. His insurance has a contract with Dental Works and no way should we owe this amount. ... Went to the Dentalworks office in Leland, North Carolina in June 2014. They charge a $128.00 for a periodic oral evaluation and prophylaxis (teeth cleaning and polish). My health insurance will only allow $94.00 for those two treatment claims. In order to get the full amount they want to bill, despite being a claimed network provider, Dentalworks added $34.00 to the visit bill as a... Read more

I went in Feb for a check-up and cleaning. They did full on x-rays on me, I'm under 18, and you're really not suppose to do that. They told me I had 14 cavities, and said I need a crown put on. I knew something was wrong so I told my mom and got a second opinion, I only have three cavities. They wanted to put me on a high fluoride too, which is unnecessary. These people are only after your money.... Read more

During routine cleaning, hygienist recommended a "deep-cleaning" for 4 teeth. I'd just been there 6 mos prior and everything was normal, and have always had healthy checkups, so I was skeptical, and asked for the cost. The "dental plan" I received indicated the total cost with an amount "expected" from insurance. Thought it still expensive, but unfortunately I agreed to the treatment. As you... Read more

I was charged over $200 because the office didn't know what CIGNA would cover. OK! But a week later I received the statement from CIGNA and it said I only owed $93.00. I called dental works and was told it was in processing and they would refund the difference when CIGNA sent the statement. Two weeks later, I called..still in processing..I called CIGNA thaey said "B..S.." the statement was... Read more

Had to find a new dentist. Went to this place because it was close. They gave me and 'estimate' to replace a filling that I have had for 20 years. When all was said and done I dropped $90 that day. Then I get a bill in the mail for an additional, $60. Why? Because they say my insurance wouldn't pay for the filing they used. You idiots should have known that before you put it in and told me so.... Read more
